Forgiveness Is for You

For a long time, I thought that if someone wronged me or vice versa that we both needed to ask for forgiveness to move forward. However, that’s not true. Holding onto pain, disappointment and anger towards someone for their actions without forgiving them will only hinder you. I know this because I was guilty of doing it. I felt as if I was owed an apology from a family member and I never got one. I decided to forgive so my heart would be free from ill feelings and so that I could move forward. Regardless of what side of the coin you may be on, learn to forgive even if you don’t want to repair the friendship/relationship. Forgive and move forward because your soul deserves peace.

Forgiveness is a decision you make, not a feeling.
I learn that when I decided to forgive others, I need to include myself also.

Remember, the enemy has a way of bringing things back to your remembrance and having you focus on the negative. STAY FOCUS!

    2 Corinthians 10:5
